Remembering Dad

Although he is gone, I know Dad watches over me still. I thank God for giving me such a father.

Raise your hands and give thanks!

Fifteen years ago, we lost our beloved father. At his internment, we sang the song, ‘Give thanks with a grateful heart.’ I sang that song despite the pain in my heart, trusting that God makes all things beautiful in His time. And He has.

The second photo shows me and my dad in his office while I was still a law student. He saw me graduate, become a lawyer, and later a mother.

But he wasn’t around when I ran for office and became a senator in 2004, to see my girls grow up, and to welcome Lucan into our family.

Although he is gone, I know Dad watches over me still. I thank God for giving me such a father.
